Winter Park Resort

From beginner-friendly groomers to expert-level bumps and glades, there’s something for every level. The free Lift bus stops just minutes from Sawmill Haus — no car needed to hit the slopes!
Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
The Fraser Valley offers world-class Nordic skiing at Snow Mountain Ranch and the YMCA of the Rockies. Miles of groomed trails wind through pristine forests. Snowshoeing is also popular on the many trails in the Arapaho National Forest surrounding Winter Park.

Mountain Biking
Winter Park is known as “Mountain Bike Capital USA” with over 600 miles of trails. Trestle Bike Park at the resort offers lift-served downhill riding, while the surrounding national forest has endless cross-country options for all abilities.
Hiking & Nature
From easy meadow strolls to challenging alpine scrambles, the trails around Winter Park are spectacular. Popular hikes include Berthoud Pass, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Fraser River Trail which starts right in town. Wildflower season (July-August) is particularly stunning.
Year-Round
Downtown Winter Park
Just steps from Sawmill Haus, downtown Winter Park offers a charming mix of restaurants, breweries, shops, and galleries. Favorites include local craft breweries, farm-to-table dining, and the vibrant Hideaway Park area. The weekly farmers market (summer) is a must-visit.

Getting Around
The free Lift bus system makes getting around Winter Park easy — no need for a car once you’re here. Routes connect downtown to the resort, Fraser, and surrounding areas. Sawmill Haus is ideally located near a bus stop, putting the entire valley at your fingertips.
